Pregnancy trends, fashion & products have changed a lot over the years, even since I was pregnant with my oldest 9 years ago. Some mommies love clothes so tight and form-fitting that show every curve of the body & some still wear very loose or baggy shirts and dresses, that aren't so flattering either.
I personally choose comfort vs. fashion... You won't see me wearing a latex dress or 5 inch heels and you won't see me wearing a tent either. I love my bump and want to show it without emphasizing every other part of my body. Lately I've been comfortable wearing my pre-pregnancy clothes, even though I'm almost 5 months pregnant, thanks to the BeMaternity® by Ingrid & Isabel® BeBand that's found at Target. There are other brands out there, I haven't tried them, but I particularly like this brand & product because it's easily accessible, affordable, comes in a few colors & has different size options for most moms.
A lot of trendy pregnancy items are hard to find, unless you're in a store dedicated just to moms-to-be or you're shopping online. I like to be able to touch & see a product in person... Have you ever bought a specialty item and the quality just wasn't there? Sometimes it's worth it to pay a little more for something that'll last throughout your entire pregnancy & maybe even into the next one. Many of us have a local Target, so I highly recommend to go take a look and see if they have the BeMaternity® by Ingrid & Isabel® BeBand in stores, even if they don't have your size, you can still get an idea if it'd be something you'd be interested in. You could always order online, ship to your store and/or return it to the store if you needed to...
The price is $16.99 for all 3 sizes & it comes in Ebony, Natural & White. Anyone who wears a 20+ in pants would opt for the L/XL size, and according to the new packaging, it's available on target.com. It's a very sturdy, elastic band, 79% Nylon & 21% Spandex, that's meant to be worn 3 different ways, 1.) folded over when you're pants start to feel a little snug, 2.) completely over your belly to hold your pants up & 3.) post-partum when your maternity clothing is too loose or your pre-pregnancy jeans are still too tight to button. It washes nicely & always comes out just as good as new!
Spending less than $20 is better than constantly splurging on new pants every time you outgrow them. Keeping up with your growing belly isn't always cheap but you can make certain choices that'll make it easier on you and your wallet. I currently only have the Ebony version, I haven't decided yet if I'd rather get a couple more of those or one of each color. They wear nicely and can be covered up or worn as if you have a longer cami on under your top, it's totally personal preference.
I've been wearing it constantly for a month now & find it doesn't roll down and my pants aren't falling off. It's worked with all my jeans & I prefer it completely over the belly. It shouldn't feel very tight or restricting, but comfortable & snug. Don't be afraid to try a different size if it doesn't feel like it fits right, that's why Target has dressing rooms & a return policy!
If you're not pregnant, this would be a perfect gift to anyone newly pregnant or planning to become pregnant soon.. Your bump may take awhile to pop out but the bloat and growing can make it uncomfortable right from the start to wear any of your pre-pregnancy clothes. It's made having to wear pants so much easier & I can leave the house feeling comfortable, yet put together & not frumpy or constantly in sweats because "that's all that fits" -- I've got to admit I can't wait for spring and summer to come so I can wear maxi dresses again though! lol
The BeMaternity® brand also offers a few other items in their collection: basic cami, ruched tank, long leggings, capri leggings, hosiery & active wear. These items are all available at Target as well!
This is not a sponsored post & I purchased the BeMaternity® by Ingrid & Isabel® BeBand with my own money. Sizing Chart & Directions found on Target.com.
